The issues of the Third Hampden District are similar to other districts in Western Massachusetts: Retention of good paying jobs, creation of new jobs, pre-K through 12 education, affordable post secondary education, improving our roads and bridges, and to continue to maintain our present roads are what the people of the district have voiced to me.

These are three very important committees that deal with issues that are central to our district and the Commonwealth as a whole.

Education is a vital component of my agenda, the questions that surround transportation concern me, and the subject of tourism is significant having the largest amusement park in New England located here in Agawam.

In this time of economic challenge, we must remain mindful of the needs of our senior citizens and balance that with sound budgeting. I remain committed to funding safe, affordable housing for our returning veterans and young families.
